Three-dimensional printing is getting plenty of attention in the mainstream media — and now the Society of Plastics Industry Inc. is organizing a new conference for the technology, called NPE3D.
The first one will be held at the 2015 NPE, in Orlando, Fla., March 23-27. SPI will schedule a NPE3D event every year, even in years when the triennial NPE is not held. The Washington trade association will announce those dates later.
The first NPE3D will be open to both NPE badge holders and to the general public.
NPE3D will offer exhibits and demonstrates of 3D printing, said Gene Sanders, SPI’s senior vice president of trade shows and conferences.
